Terms of use

Effective date: 20 September 2026
Last updated: 20 September 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and MaxQ Company ("we", "us"). They cover your use of the Quanta app and service. Please read them along with our Privacy policy. By creating an account or using Quanta, you agree to both.

The short version

  • Quanta syncs your Apple Health data to a private account and lets an AI assistant you choose read it.
  • Quanta is not medical advice. Don't use it to diagnose, treat or make health decisions.
  • Your private link lets its holder read your health data. Keep it secret.
  • You own your data. You can delete your account at any time.
  • We work hard to keep Quanta running, but we can't promise it will always be available or error-free.

1. Who can use Quanta

You must be at least 16 years old and have an iPhone with Apple Health. If you're under the age of majority where you live, a parent or guardian must agree to these terms for you. You can only sync your own health data.

2. What Quanta does

Quanta reads the Apple Health data you allow and syncs it to your private account. If you create a private link and add it to an AI assistant, that assistant can read your data and answer questions about it. Quanta only reads from Apple Health. It never writes to it.

Syncing happens automatically in the background. iOS decides when background tasks run, so syncs can be delayed, especially with low battery, no connection or a locked phone. We don't promise that any reading will sync by a particular time.

3. Not medical advice

Quanta is not a medical device or a medical service. Neither Quanta nor the AI assistants you connect provide medical advice, diagnosis or treatment.

  • The data comes from Apple Health and the devices and apps that feed it. It may be incomplete or inaccurate, and Quanta can't check it.
  • AI assistants can misunderstand data and make mistakes. Don't rely on their answers for health decisions.
  • Talk to a qualified health professional about any health concern before you act on anything you see in Quanta or an assistant's answer.
  • If you think you have a medical emergency, call your local emergency number. Don't wait for Quanta or an assistant.
  • The absence of an alert or unusual reading in Quanta doesn't mean you are healthy.

4. Your account

  • Give accurate information and keep it up to date.
  • Keep your sign-in details safe. You're responsible for activity under your account.
  • Tell us right away at hello@maxq.company if you think someone else has accessed your account.
  • One account per person.

5. Your data

  • You own it. We don't claim ownership of your health data or anything else you provide.
  • What you give us permission to do. You give us a limited license to store, process and transmit your data only to provide Quanta to you, as described in the Privacy policy. That includes making it available to the assistants you connect.
  • What we won't do. We won't sell it, use it for advertising or use it to train AI models. See the Privacy policy.
  • Delete any time. Settings → Delete account and data permanently removes your account, your synced data and your private link. Nothing is deleted from Apple Health on your iPhone.

6. Your private link and AI assistants

  • Whoever holds your link can read your health data. Treat it like a password. Don't post it or share it, and only paste it into an assistant you trust.
  • You decide which assistant to connect. Assistants are run by other companies. Their terms and privacy policies apply to what they do with your data once they read it. We don't control them and aren't responsible for their answers or how they handle data.
  • Reset it any time. Connect Claude (or your assistant) → Reset link. The old link stops working immediately.
  • We may turn it off. We can disable a link if we believe it has been compromised, is being abused or is putting the service at risk.
  • Compatibility. We can't promise Quanta will work with every assistant, or keep working with one as its provider changes things.

7. Using Quanta responsibly

You agree not to:

  • use Quanta to break the law or someone else's rights;
  • try to access another person's account or data;
  • probe, attack, overload or interfere with our systems, or bypass their security;
  • reverse engineer, copy or resell the app or service, except where the law allows;
  • use automated means to create accounts or scrape the service; or
  • upload anything that isn't your own health data.

8. Fees

Quanta is currently free. [If we add paid features, we'll tell you first and won't charge you without your agreement.] Your mobile carrier and your assistant provider may charge for their own services.

9. Third-party services and trademarks

Quanta works with Apple Health, Sign in with Apple, Google sign-in and AI assistants such as Claude. These are third-party services and trademarks of their owners. Quanta isn't affiliated with, endorsed or sponsored by Apple, Google or Anthropic. Their own terms apply when you use them.

10. Our rights in Quanta

We own the Quanta app, its design and code, and its brand. While you follow these terms, we give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app on your iPhone. Feedback you send us may be used by us without obligation to you.

11. Ending things

  • You can stop any time by deleting your account in the app.
  • We can suspend or end your access if you break these terms, if we need to for security or legal reasons, or if we stop offering Quanta. Unless the situation is urgent or the law prevents it, we'll give you notice and, if we stop the service, a reasonable chance to delete your data.
  • What happens to your data when your account ends is described in the Privacy policy.
  • Sections that by nature should continue (including 3, 12, 13 and 15) continue after these terms end.

12. No warranties

Quanta is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we don't promise that Quanta will be uninterrupted, secure or error-free, that data will sync completely or on time, or that any insight or answer is accurate or suitable for you. Nothing here limits rights you have by law as a consumer.

13. Limits on our liability

To the fullest extent the law allows:

  • we're not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of data, profits or goodwill, that we couldn't reasonably have foreseen;
  • we're not liable for what assistant providers or other third parties do; and
  • our total liability to you for anything arising from Quanta is limited to the greater of [the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim] and [€100 / US$100].

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law doesn't allow us to limit.

14. Apple terms

If you got Quanta from the Apple App Store:

  • These terms are between you and us, not Apple. We are responsible for Quanta and its content, not Apple.
  • Your license is limited to use on Apple-branded devices you own or control, as permitted by the App Store terms.
  • Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for Quanta.
  • If Quanta fails to meet a warranty that applies, you can tell Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price, if any. To the extent allowed by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation for Quanta.
  • We, not Apple, are responsible for handling any claims about Quanta, including product liability, legal compliance and consumer protection claims, and for any intellectual property claims.
  • You confirm you aren't located in a country subject to a US government embargo or on a US list of prohibited or restricted parties.
  • Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
  • For questions, complaints or claims, contact us at hello@maxq.company.

15. Changes

We may update these terms. If a change matters, we'll tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect. If you keep using Quanta after that, you accept the new terms. If you don't agree, you can delete your account.

16. General

These terms and the Privacy policy are the whole agreement between us about Quanta. If a part of them can't be enforced, the rest still applies. If we don't enforce a right, we haven't given it up. You can't transfer your rights under these terms without our consent. We may transfer ours as part of a business change.
